Compressed Air for Paintball

Paintball Air Compressor for CO2 Paintball Tanks

Paintball guns can freeze up or irregularly firing, CO2 or carbon dioxide gas can contribute to this.

Using a paintball air compressor to refill the CO2 at paint fields can help with keeping guns freeze up. The expansion chamber can help with freezing the paintball regulator on the gun however will have uneven pressure.

One of the reasons expert paintball player are turning to the alternative Nitro,  HPA or compressed air systems for paintball guns is one the pressure does not fluctuate like in CO2. Second no need to have to find a paintball air compressor to refill the tanks. Nitro, compressed air or HPA air systems do not use an air compressor to fill.

A gas stations air compressor does not give the psi that is needed for paintball. The psi in a station runs about 355 psi and for paintball needs to be at 800 psi. Most of the paintball fields carry the air compressor paintball tanks use.  that is need to fill the tanks. Or another place is where scuba diving equipment is sold or an air tank for scuba diving is filled. They have the psi that is need to fill a CO2 tank.

HPA or high-pressure air and nitrogen or compressed air is the same air that we breathe. Using this type of air compressed paintball tank in a paintball gun as an air system is covenant and will not freeze up like the CO2 gas will freeze up.

Using an regulator valve that is properly fitted for compressed air tank for a paintball gun will give a consist pressure for the tank and gun then with the CO2. This is why more players prefer the nitro, compressed air over the co2 gas in a paintball gun.

Nitro, HPA tanks need a completely different air compressors then a paintball air compressor. For the nitro the compressors are very expensive. More and more paintball players are converting over to the nitro air compressed for paintball guns even with the compress air is harder to find.

With the nitro, compressed air or HPA, (which are all the same, different names used,) the fire power to fire more rapidly, no freezing on the paintball gun chambers, and  more consist air pressure the compressed air guns are the tops guns today.

When having a tank filled if it be CO2, compress air or whatever the paintball tank is, take all precautions. If a player does not know how to fill a tank they need to seek help. Filling tanks can cause severe injury if an explosion takes place.

As in paintball game and filling tanks remember to where your goggles to protect the eyes and head, play by the rules and play safe.

Most of all have fun! This is what it is all about!
